Hi there:

Welcome to Dogen Sangha, Torsten! As a monk I know says, I hope you find it useful and interesting.

I'm coming to have rather familial feelings for this community. That's both the local group I sit with (we've body-surfed after zazen), and the greater worldwide sangha. The same sorts of ups and downs occur here that occur in any family. I consider myself lucky to know (as well as I do) each and every DS member, and I have learned from all of them.

The archives have a lot of answers, Torsten, but feel free to ask about anything that's on your mind.

Dear Torsten San

Welcome Torsten San to Dogen Sangha! You have become the member of Dogen Sangha already. Now we are going to prepare the method of making the list of the members. Therefore I will have a talk with our new leader Ven Brad Warner to establish the method of making the list. Anyway I feel very happy getting you as the member of Dogen Sangha.

Dear Smoggyrob San,

Thank you very much for your cooperative advice. I agree your opinion, and we would like to establish the friendly and familiar Buddhist organization through the World.

Dear Torsten,

welcome to our Sangha! It is really a modern Buddhist group talking with each other by internet as brothers and sisters and practacing Zazen lokally. By that the ups are becoming more often and the downs more seldom and shorter.

Dear Gregor:

I think it is simply a matter of making a request of the Dogen Sangha Blog technical administrator by e-mail at: info.nishijima@mac.com
Perhaps there are other ways as well.

It is so nice to see different members of the Sangha here, and to meet up with them on different blogspots as well. There is a lovely feeling of community building.

Thank yous to Gudo Nishijima Roshi for all his
thorough and direct answers and his life's work dedicated to making available the understanding of Eihei Dogen Kigen Zenji's writings for us all; to Brad's blog in which life adventures and experiences, as recounted and zazen practice as taught are "shown actual size;" and to Jundo whose daily blog activities bridge the relative and absolute with analogies, similes and metaphors!

All your hard work and your care and attention to these things on Indra's (inter) net are greatly appreciated.

Dear Keishin.ni,
If this is the place to express gratitude I would like to include the German Dogen Sangha Blog which is run by Yudo Juergen.
Thank you for your efforts making Dogen Zenji's teachings clear and comprehensible for us.
