Question on Genjo-koan [89]

I hope you are keeping well.
Can you please offer any insight into the meaning of Genjo-koan section [89] where Dogen recommends in relation to realization that "The longness and shortness of its moment should be investigated in large [bodies of] water and small [bodies of] water, and observed in the width and the narrowness of the sky and moon" ?

Thank you very much for your question on Genjo-koan section [89].
The meaning of the sentence is as follows.
"The longness and shortness of the present moment can be recognized by utilizing a big image of the moon, which is reflecting on the surface of the ocean, and a small image of the moon on the surface of a cup of water, or in another example the very wide scale of the whole sky itself, and the very narrow space of the moon, which is shining in the sky."
